The book provides a framework for thinking about evaluation as a relevant and useful programme tool. Part One of it presents an overview of philosophy and expectations for evaluation and reviews the contextual factors that have led to an imbalance in how human service evaluation is defined. The Second Part provides a description of three components of project-level evaluation and also examples in the form of case studies of Foundation grantees.
