Iliyana Nikolova holds an MA degree in history from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She has additional thematic and methodological qualification in the field of adults’ training received from different institutions and organizations, including HelpAge International (UK), London School of Economics (UK), VSO (UK), Directory of Social Change (UK), Partners for Democratic Change (Slovakia), Development School (UK), LGI (USA), European Women’s Foundation (Ireland). Iliyana Nikolova has participated in trainings of leading consultants in the field of organizational development and management from Europe and USA - Sandy Adirondak (UK), Michal Groh (USA), Lisa Queen (USA), Eoen Young (USA), Marilyn Wyatt (USA) etc. She has been trained in the following topics: development and management of projects, marketing and communications, social development, leadership, organizational development, strategic and operational management etc.
Iliyana Nikolova has over 10 years of experience in development and delivery of trainings. During the last year she has participated in different projects for trainings both in Bulgaria and Central and Eastern Europe. Currently she works as an executive director of Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation.
The main topics in her work are connected with community development, development and management of projects, local resources mobilization, leader and management skills development etc.

Dimitar Tzolov has BA degree in Psychology from New Bulgarian University as well as professional qualification “Trainer of group-dynamic training and organizational behaviour” at International Business School – Botevgrad. Currently he is studying an MA programme “Artistic psycho-social expressive practices” at New Bulgarian University and MA “Developmental Donor Practice” at London Metropolitan University and Development School. He is doing also a specialization in “Psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy” at “Psychotherapy 2000” foundation.
Dimitar Tzolov has over eight years of experience in development and delivery of trainings and consultations. During the last year he participated in different short-term training and consulting projects for GTZ – Serbia, Partners for Local Development Foundation – Romania, Institute Antimatter – Portugal, MOSTAR Foundation Germany, PSI – USA, King Baudouin Foundation – Belgium, Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC) etc. Currently he is working as a training manager for Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation.
The main topics in his training practice are connected with organizational development, community development, projects development, communication skills, team building, problems and conflicts resolution, leadership and management skills development etc.
Svetlin Gankov holds an MA degree in economics from University of Economics, Varna, as well as professional qualification “Business law and state administration” from University for national and world economy (UNWE), Sofia. At present he is writing a PhD dissertation at UNWE on topic “Methods for evaluation of the organizational condition of non-governmental organizations”.
Svetlin Gankov has over nine-year experience in development of training programmes and materials and delivery of trainings. During the years being on different positions he has participated in development of different programmes and training modules, different handbooks and other materials. In the last year Svetlin Gankov offers short-term trainings, ordered by different organizations such as: Institute of Public Administration and European Integration, Balkan Assist association, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Foundation for Local Government Reform etc.
At present Svetlin Gankov works as a freelance expert and the main projects he is currently working on are: “Development of regional and innovative strategy for north-west and north-central regions for planning” and “Development of strategy for local economic development in the communities Belene, Levski and Nikopol.”
The main topics in his training and consultant practice are connected mainly with: organizational development, community development, development and management of projects, project cycle management, projects and programmes evaluation, team building, NGO management, evaluation of the organizational condition and development of a plan for NGO institutional development, strategic planning, local economic development, evaluation of needs, attracting of the interested stakeholders.
Miriana Malamin-Sirijski holds an MA degree in philosophy from Sofia University “St.Kliment Ohridski”. She made a specialization for trainer and consultant in Management for Development Foundation, Netherlands (1998-2000; 2005).
Miriana Malamin-Sirijski has developed and delivered trainings and organizational consultations as a coordinator of “Training” programme at “Pokrov Bogorodichen” foundation for the last six years. Since December 2005 she is working as a consultant for Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation.
Her professional experience as consultant and trainer is connected with development, delivery and supervising of consultations and trainings in the field of project cycle, organizational strengthening, strategic planning, human resources management, partnership and fundraising.
Maria Markova holds an MA degree in Bulgarian philology and has over 10-year experience in PR and media. She has mainly practice in the field of institutional, corporate and project PR.
In the period from 2001 to 2003 she headed the PR and protocol department in Bulgarian Ministry of Economy.
Maria Markova has practice in organizational management in Federal Ministry of Economy and Labour of Germany in Berlin. She has participated in the intergovernmental working group in charge for development of action plan to the communication strategy of Bulgarian government for Bulgaria’s EU accession.
In the field of the corporate PR she deals with development and applying of communication strategies and plans for “Petrol holding”, “Rila style” etc. She is developing and delivering communication plan for action at the project “Forum for reaching consensus on priorities of the operational programmes of the national plan for development”, financed by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. She also participates as PR expert in PHARE programmes.
Ilko Yordanov holds a MA degree in politology (2000) and journalism (1997) from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Currently he is doing a PhD degree in “European integration and journalism” at Sofia University. He was a scholarship student at “Open society” foundation from 1995 to 1997.
He has undergone Training of trainers at Local Government and Public Service Reform Initiative - Open Society Institute, Budapest, Hungary (September 2005), and a specialized course “Communicating with the Public”, Academy of Government Information and Communication, part of the Public Communication Department of the Ministry of General Affairs – Netherlands (November – December 2003).
Ilko Yordanov has worked on projects of EU PHARE-LIEN, UN, the World Bank, Special Olympics – Bulgaria, Azerbaijan National Research Association, Research Support Scheme, “Open soicety” institute and the Bulgarian Government.
He has participated in development of the design, organization and carrying out of trainings for work with media and PR on “Community centers” (UNDP and Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, 2004) and in a series of trainings of journalists under the project IDF Grant for Integration of Ethnic Minorities (World Bank, National council on ethnical and demographic issues at Council of Ministers of Republic of Bulgaria, 2002 – 2003.)
Since the end of 2005 he is a consultant on projects of Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation.
Georgi Tzvetkov holds a BA degree in Social activities from Sofia University “St.Kliment Ohridski” with a major in “Management of social organizations”. Since March 2006 he takes part in an international course for online trainers “Net Trainers 2” under EU Leonardo da Vinchi programme.
Georgi Tzvetkov has over three-year experience in individual and group consulting and delivery of interactive trainings. In the last year he has participated in a Training of trainers “Breaking barriers” – development of abilities for lobbying and coalition building (Disability Council of the Netherlands, TENS International) and “EU Disability Discrimination Workshop” (Middlesex University Business School – London, England, National University of Ireland, British Council – Bulgaria). From the beginning of 2005 until March 2006 he is a consultant at the British council in Sofia on the project “Our life – our ideas” directed to empowerment of young people with disabilities. Currently he works as a coordinator of department “Surveys, information and publications” at association of “Center for independent life” – Sofia.
The professional practice of Georgi Tzvetkov includes trainings and consultations of non-governmental organizations and informal groups directed to community development, development and delivery of projects, fundraising and local resources mobilization, organizational development, non-governmental organizations’ marketing, work with groups in disadvantaged situation, partnership and co-operation with local authorities.
